Blowing Stuff Off

Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice. Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you. Ephesians 4:31-32

There are many things in life that can get your ‘feathers ruffled’ so to speak. Many of them aren’t worth getting angry over. One example is in this day of people looking for electric outlets such as in airports and coffee shops, occasionally you run into a ‘plug hog’. If you do you could kindly ask “may I use one of those since you have two” or let it go. This is one example of a minor irritation.

You have to choose your battles and many things that happen are very small in the big scheme of things. For instance, on the day I noticed my car got keyed I was surprisingly not that upset. I felt sorry for the person who stooped to such a low level to vandalize my vehicle.

Staying  peaceful when your human nature would rather you explode and cause a scene, not only is it better for your over all well being, but for your walk with the Lord. When you name the name of Jesus people are watching you. Got a Christian sticker on the car? Slow down. Wearing a Christian tee shirt? Smile and be polite. Going to court to sue? Reconsider.  You get the picture. So now go out today with joy and peace and love life!
PRAYER: Most gracious Lord thank you that through you I can have true peace. Help me let go of minor irritations and seek things that are ‘above’. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
